We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us, in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Alberta privacy legislation. This policy explains what we collect, why, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit a form on this site — a contact, home-evaluation, buyer, seller, or “get notified” listing-alert form — we collect the details you choose to provide, which may include your name, email address, phone number, the property or area you’re interested in, your timeline and budget, and any message you send. You control what you share.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we use analytics to understand how visitors use the site. This may include your device and browser type, the pages you view, how you arrived, and a general (city/region-level) location derived from your IP address. This information is used in aggregate and is not used to identify you personally.

Property-listing analytics. When you open a DDF® listing-detail page, the site records a listing-view event with CREA’s Analytics Web Service. The event includes the DDF listing identifier, Cathren’s DDF feed identifier, a randomly generated browser identifier stored in a cookie, and your IP address when available. CREA uses this information to report listing activity to participating agents and brokerages.

We do not collect payment information through this website, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

How we use your information

• To respond to your enquiry and provide real estate services you request;
• To send you property information or listing alerts when you have asked us to;
• To stay in touch about your real estate needs as part of our working relationship;
• To understand and improve how the website performs.

Consent

By submitting a form, you consent to us contacting you about your enquiry. If you sign up for listing alerts or otherwise ask to receive updates, you are giving express consent to receive commercial electronic messages from us under Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing or by contacting us using the details below. We never sell your personal information.

Service providers we share information with

We share your information only with the trusted service providers that help us operate this site and serve you, and only as needed for those purposes:

• Email & contact management — Brevo. Form submissions are emailed to us and stored in our contact platform (Brevo) so we can respond and, where you’ve consented, send updates. See Brevo’s privacy policy at brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy.
• Website analytics — Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to measure site usage. Google may set cookies and process usage data on our behalf; see Google’s privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
• Property-listing analytics — The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA). CREA receives DDF® listing-view events as described above. See CREA’s privacy information at crea.ca/privacy.
• Our brokerage — Royal LePage Parkland Agencies (a member of the Bridgemarq/Royal LePage network), where required to provide brokerage services.
• Our website host, which stores the site and its data securely on our behalf.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our legal rights.

Cookies & analytics

This site uses cookies for analytics (as described above). Cookies are small files stored by your browser. CREA’s required DDF® analytics cookie stores a random identifier for up to one year so repeat listing views from the same browser can be counted consistently. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some site features may not work as well if you do. This site does not run third-party advertising or retargeting cookies.

Property listing information

Property listings shown on this site are provided through the Canadian Real Estate Association’s Data Distribution Facility (DDF®) and are subject to CREA’s terms — see our Terms of Use. Listing data describes properties, not you, and is separate from the personal information you provide to us.

How long we keep your information

We keep your personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above — to serve you and maintain our working relationship — or as required by law. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (subject to any records we’re legally required to keep).

Your rights

Under PIPEDA you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw your consent, and request its deletion. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below and we’ll respond within a reasonable time.

How we protect your information

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take care to protect the information you entrust to us.
